Another Fun home ed outing. It was a good opportunity to learn about the Battle of Hastings and the Bayeaux Tapestry. Unfortunately the snow had pretty much shut the town down and the museum and life boat centre were closed, but we had a wonderful time anyway. We discovered a flower making museum that had dyes, cutters and fabrics from well over a hundred years ago. They still use the original machinery and make flowers for movies and fashion houses. Wonderful discovery ! The black huts are tall because each fisherman was given a small area on which to build his hut - the only way was up !!
